STEM at Fullerton College

Our Natural Sciences Department will be hosting a seminar speaker series during the semester. They will have guest speakers from different areas of STEM that will discuss their backgrounds, research, career pathways, and also give you advice for your own academic/career development.

This month we introduce Dr. Niroshika Keppetipola, Chemistry and Biochemistry, to discusses how post-translational modifications alter the activity of splicing factors and in turn cellular gene expression.  She is currently an Assistant Professor at CSUF in the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. She earned her B.S in Chemistry from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and Ph.D. at the Tri Institutional Program in Chemical Biology at Cornell University.  We are looking forward to hearing all about her research groups findings!
